GERMOS was found in the year 1962 by Gerhard Fessmann. He created the trade mark GERMOS by using the individual letters and syllables of his name. His invention, the vapour-smoke technique, which was patented a few years later, revolutionized the smoking technique and is being used today in all areas of the world.
